Privacy on this Gelataro site

What this publication records, what it never sees, and where the seller's own policy takes over.

The clearest way to describe privacy on gelatarous.com is to follow a visit through it. Someone arrives, reads a page or two, and either closes the tab or presses an order button. Here is what exists at each of those points, and what does not.

While you are reading a Gelataro page

The server writes a line in its log: an address, a time, the page asked for, the page you came from and the browser string your own software sends. That log line is how a web server does its job and how a broken page gets noticed. It is the only record this site makes of a visit.

There is nothing here to join. No account exists, no form asks for a name, and no newsletter collects an address, so there is no list of readers behind this publication to lose, sell or leak.

Cookies and browser storage

None are set for advertising and none for tracking. Whatever ordinary technical storage your browser keeps for any website, it keeps for this one too, and that is the whole of it.

The moment you press an order button

You leave. The button hands you to the seller's own store, and from that first page onward it is the seller's privacy policy that governs what is collected, where it is kept and who else sees it. Theirs is the document to read before a card number is typed.

What a Gelataro order never touches

This site. Card numbers, names, billing and delivery addresses and the order history behind them all live on the seller's systems. None of it routes through here on the way, and none of it comes back afterwards, which is why an order query has to go to the seller rather than to us.

If you write to us

A message to contact@gelatarous.com is kept while it is being answered and afterwards as a record of the exchange. It goes on no mailing list and to no third party.

Readers under eighteen

This publication is written for adults and the product it covers is sold to adults. Nothing here is aimed at children.

Asking what we hold

Write to contact@gelatarous.com and ask; ask for it to be deleted and it will be. The one thing that cannot be answered from here is anything about an order, because those records were never ours.

Revisions

Changes appear on this page, and the review date printed at the foot of every page on the site moves when they do.
